Net-Zero Wooden Daycare
The daycare uses volumes to create different scales of spaces for children to occupy, providing enclosure when necessary but also creating a sense of freedom.

Each volume is oriented at different angles according to the program, circulation, and site, emphasized by the directionality of the glulam wood beams.

The folds in the roof help to define and individualize the volumes.
They are adjusted to allow for optimal natural lighting and heat gain.

Daylight Simulation Analysis shows better shading in summer and more solar heat gain in winter.
