The three models generated in the semester were a series of translations and adaptions. The first model was generated for an arid climate, which was followed by an adaption for the tundra, and then finally temperate.
First there was a precedent analysis of the Adalaj Stepwell in India, which uses stairs and landings to engage program and create public space.
Tundra Model
Final Model for Temperate Climate.
In the Final Model, the stairs become the public space for a daycare. The monumental walls serve to enclose the space while the rooms puncture through them, creating a relationship with the exterior.
